I’m Christine Williams, but my friends call me Chris. I’m a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and a Holistic Health Coach in Concord, North Carolina.
I’ve created Shine Wellness as a place you can relax, nourish and transform your tired, depleted, over worked self into a relaxed, confident, empowered you, so you can live your most vibrant and fulfilled life, everyday!
And here’s why…
Over the years, I’ve come to believe and experience that when you take care of yourself and invest in self care, everything else seems to fall into place.
At first, I thought if I took time to get a massage, or take a break and do something fun, that I was taking away from my family and my job. I thought I just had to plow through, full speed ahead and just get it done. That’s the message we hear, right? Take care of everyone and everything else first, and when it’s done, you can take time for you.
Well let me tell you friend, that’s a backwards message and one that sets you up for being run down, burned out and unhappy. Can you relate?
I understand your struggle because I’ve been there, too.
I’ve been a busy account executive traveling across 4 states, eating on the run and staying up late and trying to juggle it all. I’ve skipped meals, sometimes not even eating until dinner time and running on coffee. I’ve spent decades focusing on my children and my marriage and putting my needs on the back burner.
As a result, I’ve suffered from IBS and digestive issues, anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed and stressed out and carried a few more pounds around the middle than I wanted to.
As a busy mom with a clan of 5 kids and a husband to love, a business to run and clients to serve, I’ve found out that in order to serve everyone with the time and attention they deserve, I MUST take time for me.
I’ve learned that when I nourish myself with healthy REAL food, and take the time to do things I love; like getting a massage, going for walks in the woods, attending a yoga class, practicing mindfulness and slowing down to smell the flowers, (and sit down for lunch), I actually get more done with a happy more peaceful heart.
Self Care is NOT selfish.
By investing in some “me” time, my family, friends and clients get the A+ version of me who is relaxed and joyful, instead of the cranky, “hangry,” tired and critical D- version that just wants to fall into bed at night.

Some interesting facts about me:
Most people don’t know that I got married in Scotland.
Cooking and having fun with my kids in the kitchen makes my heart sing.
I love to work with my hands and get creative. Knitting, making candles, crafting, cooking. (maybe that’s why I love my work as a massage therapist, I get to use my hands)
My husband and I LOVE to travel together and experience new places and foods, especially craft beers. I think I have a gypsy heart.
I have a 15 year old cat named Whiskers. (He is the most “chill” cat I know. Maybe that’s why he’s lived so long.)
My favorite place I have visited is Scotland. I want to go back and see more of that beautiful country I missed the first time. Especially the Islands of Iona and Skye.
My favorite form of self-care is having quiet time in the morning, my weekly massage, a walk in the woods, and a semi-annual trip to the Well of Mercy for some recharging time to reconnect with myself, my higher power and to unplug.

For Massage: When you book an appointment for massage, you’ll get a confirmation email of your appointment. 3 days before your appointment you’ll get a reminder. After your appointment, you’ll also get a follow up email asking how your experience was.
For 1-on-1 Health Coaching: You’ll start by booking a breakthrough session coaching call. Just click on the link that says “Apply for Your Breakthrough Session.” If we’re a good fit, we’ll decide on the best program to meet your goals and pick a start date to begin. After our call, you’ll get an email with the client agreement for you to sign and return to me prior to our first coaching session.
