The Shine Wellness Story
I understand your struggle with your health because I’ve been there, too.
25 years ago, I had just moved to a new town by myself, bought a house and was traveling across 3 states as an account executive. I struggled with anxiety and stress from my busy corporate job, and I knew it was causing my health to suffer. I was feeling burned out and like there was never enough time to do what needed to be done. I was eating out constantly and no where close to eating real whole food. I felt depleted, low energy, cranky, out of balance and unfulfilled. I decided enough was enough.
It was time to make some changes and start taking care of myself.
I started my healing journey small, with bite size steps to get back to the essentials of self care and create new healthy habits that gave me back my energy, my joy and my focus, to do more of what I loved and less of what I didn’t. And it worked!
First, I took a yoga class.
Yoga introduced me to the world of natural healing and approaching myself with compassion and awareness as part of taking care of me. I loved it so much I became a certified Yoga teacher to help others manage stress with compassion and to empower them to feel vibrant in their body, mind and spirit.
Then, two years later my first son was born, and in an effort to nourish my family and myself, my natural healing knowledge expanded into nutrition.
The deep dive I took into nutrition helped me learn how to keep my kids healthy and give them the best foundation for life.
(And isn’t that what we all want to build for our kids and family, a foundation for a healthy, vibrant life?)
Years later, my healing journey led me to become a massage therapist and combine my knowledge of whole food nutrition, stress management and wellness into a practice that could serve others.
My passion for nutrition led me to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and creating transformational habit change led me to additional certification as a Certified Holistic Health Coach. And that’s where big things started shifting. I found the formula that worked for me and my clients.
Solid Nutrition + Healthy Habits Formation = Life Change!
And once I started meeting with my massage therapy and coaching clients, learning their stories, giving them personalized treatments, practical wellness education, and seeing their (amazing!) results, it was like everything clicked into place for me.
My journey that started with small steps of self-care has finally come full circle, and I know this is what I was meant to do.
I love my job because I get to truly help women on a deep level.
Not only with their health challenges, but also with their outlook on their life, and their view of themself and their worth.

Most people don’t know that I got married in Scotland.
My husband and I LOVE to travel together and experience new places and foods, especially craft beers.
I have a 15 year old cat named Whiskers.
My favorite place I have visited is Scotland. I want to go back and see more of that beautiful country I missed the first time. Especially the Islands of Iona and Skye.
My favorite form of self-care is my weekly massage and time in the mountains to hike, read or knit and a semi-annual trip to the Well of Mercy for some recharging time to reconnect with myself, my higher power and to unplug.

For Massage:When you book an appointment for massage, you’ll get a confirmation email of your appointment. 3 days before your appointment you’ll get a reminder. After your appointment, you’ll also get a follow up email asking how your experience was.
For 1-on-1 Health Coaching: You’ll start by booking a free coaching call. Just click on the link that says “Schedule Your Free Empowerment Session ” If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule our first coaching session during the empowerment session. After our call, you’ll get an email with the client agreement for you to sign and return to me prior to our first coaching session.
For Group Health Coaching: Go to the group coaching and click on the “join the group” button to purchase the group program. When you purchase the Group program, you will get an email with the group client agreement for you to sign and return to me and weekly materials will be sent to you prior to our weekly meeting. You’ll also get instructions for participating in our Private Facebook Group (If applicable).
