Hey there, I’m Christine.
I’m a licensed massage therapist (LMBT), nutritional therapy practitioner (NTP) and certified holistic health coach (CHHC).
But you were probably hoping for a bit of my story weren’t you?
A little bit about me…
I stumbled upon the natural health and wellness field over 20 years ago when I went to my first yoga class to help me get some stress relief from a busy corporate job. At that time I had just moved to a new town by myself, bought a house and was traveling across 3 states as an account executive. Yoga introduced me to the world of natural healing and approaching myself with compassion and awareness as part of taking care of me. I loved it so much I became a certified Yoga teacher in 1995 to help others manage stress with compassion and to empower them to feel vibrant in their body, mind and spirit.
2 years later my first son was born and I gave up the corporate world to stay home and raise my family while continuing to teach yoga and nourish our family with healthy food and lifestyle practices. The deep dive into nutrition began to help me learn how to keep my kids healthy and give them the best foundation for life.
3 kids and 20 years later, I decided to become a massage therapist and combine my knowledge of stress management and wellness into a practice that could serve others.
Shine Wellness was born!
In 2015, I decided to dive even deeper with functional bio-individual nutrition after witnessing the powerful effects that eating real nutrient dense food had on my own health and the health of my kids. So I went back to school to add certification as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner to my services at Shine Wellness. But knowledge can only take you so far in creating healthy habits that last. I found many of my clients learning a bunch, but having a hard time making the changes stick. So, I became a student of transformational habit change and went back to school again to learn the tools and techniques to help my clients create lasting sustainable changes in their life. I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach in 2017.
That was the golden formula for optimal health and wellness in my own life and my clients. Self care combined with real whole foods education and creating healthy habits that last. BIG WIN!
I am married to Casey and together we have a clan of 5. When I am not in the studio, I prioritize my own wellness by making time to get massages, walking, cooking something healthy and yummy in the kitchen, nerding out on nutrition, knitting, hiking in the woods and letting my light Shine!
